Swoop Airlines check-in Procedure
Swoop Airlines check-in offers the following check-in options:
- Check-in online
- Check-in at Self-service kiosks at airports.
- Ticket counter check-in at airports
Check-in time for Swoop Airlines
Swoop Airlines requires that you check in and drop off your luggage at least one hour before departure for domestic flights (within Canada) and international flights. You must drop off your bag at least 90 minutes (1.5 hours) before departure if you’re traveling with overweight or oversized bags.
When traveling in a group, all passengers must carry a copy of their boarding pass, either printed separately or saved on the same device.
If you miss the cut-off time, you will not be permitted to board your flight, and your fare will be forfeited. Boarding begins 45 minutes before departure and closes 15 minutes before departure.
Check in online with Swoop.
Swoop Airlines check-in online is only available between 24 hours and 1 hour before departure via its website, not on the airline’s mobile app.
The Steps Are As Follows:
- Visit Swoop Airlines’ official website.
- This page will be redirected to you.
- Click on the Check-in tab to access your booking. The departure airport, the booking reference, and the passenger’s last name need to be entered.
- When you check in online, you can select your seats based on the flight segment you select.
- Be sure to double-check all the information you’ve entered, including your flight details, personal information, and seat selection.
- A Swoop Airlines boarding pass will be provided to you after completing the online check-in process.
Does Swoop support mobile check-in?
Since Swoop Airlines no longer offers a mobile check-in app, you can only check-in online using the airline’s website.
Ticket counter check-in at airports
- Ticket counters at Swoop Airlines airports typically open 3 hours before departure and close 45 minutes before departure for domestic flights (Canada) and 60 minutes before departure for international flights.
- In other words, your baggage drop and check-in should have been completed:
- For domestic flights within Canada, arrive at least 45 minutes before departure
- For international flights, at least 60 minutes before departure
Self-Service Check-In Kiosks at Airports
International flight check-in will be available at airport self-service kiosks 3 hours to 60 minutes before departure, and domestic flight check-in will be available 45 minutes before departure.
Follow these steps to check in at an airport kiosk:
- You can identify yourself using the touchscreen:
- By inserting your credit card
- You will need to enter your Reservation Code or Frequent Flyer Number
- Confirm your flight details
- Select or confirm your seat
- Let us know if you’ll check luggage
- Use your credit card to pay the baggage fee
- Make sure you collect your bag tags
- Obtain a printout of your boarding pass (each passenger must carry a hard or soft copy).
ID requirements for Swoop Airlines
During domestic flights:
- In addition to a valid, non-expired photo ID issued by the Canadian government, passengers must also carry two valid, non-photo IDs issued by the Canadian government.
- A government-issued ID or document proving the child’s age is required for infants and children under 17.
- A valid passport is required for adults, children, and infants on international flights.
Boarding
Arrive at the boarding gate 45 minutes before departure, when boarding begins. The boarding gate closes 15 minutes before departure, so you must arrive at the gate at least 15 minutes before departure. If you are late, you will not be able to board your flight and lose your fare (Swoop does not charge a no-show fee).
Boarding Pass
The boarding pass must be carried on your person. If you’re traveling in a group, you can print them separately or save them all to one device.
