What is the process for checking in for a LATAM flight?
LATAM Airlines check-in offers several check-in options for passengers to obtain their boarding passes:
- Check-in automatically.
- Check-in via the web.
- Check-in at an airport or kiosk.
- Check-in via a mobile device.
What time should I arrive at the airport?
When arriving at the airport, you should present yourself at a LATAM Airlines check-in counter 4 hours before departure time for international flights and 2 hours before departure for domestic flights if you have not checked in beforehand.
Check-in via automatic
If you book a flight with LATAM Airlines check-in automatically, you will receive a temporary boarding pass. Changing seats or adding extra luggage are both options on this pass, but they may require additional charges. Any changes you make will show up on the pass when you check-in.
Traveling internationally or booking through a third-party site will require you to provide additional information to receive your automated check-in. You can do this on the LATAM Airlines website 72 hours before your flight.

To check-in for your flight online with LATAM Airlines on your own, you will need to follow some simple steps.
- To access My Trips, visit the LATAM Airline official website
- You must fill out the webpage information
- On your screen, you’ll see your LATAM Airlines boarding pass
- To use this pass at the airport, you can download or print it.
Check-in via LATAM Mobile
- Check-in with LATAM Airlines’ app at your convenience.
- Domestic flights can be checked in via mobile up to 48 hours before departure, and it closes 60 minutes before departure.
- Mobile check-in is available 48 hours to 120 minutes before international flights depart.
Here are the steps for LATAM Airlines mobile check-in:
- Mobile devices can download the LATAM Airlines app
- The mobile app’s first page contains a Check-in button
- After providing the details, you can open your boarding pass.
- To arrive at the airport, download your boarding pass when it appears on your phone.
Check-in at airports or kiosks
- If you cannot check-in online, you can do so at the airport where you depart. Make sure you get to the airport on time.
- Please ask the staff at the LATAM check-in counter to help you obtain your boarding pass once you arrive. Self-service kiosks are at the airport to check in for your flight. Checking in at a kiosk is simple.
- Airports have kiosk machines. You will find them everywhere.
- At the kiosk, enter your identification details and flight details
- Make sure the seat assigned to you is correct or change it
- If you have any bags, please provide information about them
- You will have a boarding pass for LATAM Airlines. Click on the print button to print it.
Boarding
LATAM has implemented group boarding to improve your boarding experience. Each flight has six groups, with three boarding phases:
Pre-boarding for passengers with special needs (depending on local regulations):
- Pregnant women and infant travelers.
- Seniors over 60.
- Assistance is required for boarding.
Boarding with Premium (not applicable to Basic fares):
- Group 1: Members of LATAM Pass Signature & Black, and premium cabin passengers.
- Group 2: A Platinum, Gold, or Gold Plus member of LATAM Pass and a Platinum, Gold, or Diamond member of Delta SkyMiles.
- Group 3: TOP fares purchased by passengers.
- Those who purchased a LATAM+ ticket.
- Members of the Delta SkyMiles Silver program.
- Passengers on Qatar Airways Emerald and Sapphire flights only (SCL and GRU airports).
- Premium boarding is available to bank cardholders.
- A corporate elite passenger.
In the case of regular boarding:
Groups 4 and 5: Depending on the location of the seat on the aircraft, passengers (except when traveling with a basic fare).
