What is the process for checking in for an EVA Air flight?
EVA Air check-in before or after arriving at the airport for an EVA Air flight has a variety of options.

What is the check-in time for EVA Air flights?
For international flights, passengers should check in one hour before departure but may need three hours in airports with strict procedures (such as the U.S.). It is recommended that passengers who require assistance completing the check-in and preboarding procedures (unaccompanied Minors, blind, deaf, or disabled passengers, wheelchair or walker passengers, etc.) check in at least two hours before departure. Late check-in could release passengers’ reserved seats, and they could be denied boarding.
Automated check-in for EVA Air
The automated check-in service checks you in automatically 12 hours before departure. You will receive your EVA AIR Check-in Completion Notice by email.
The following methods are available for collecting your boarding pass:
- Use the URL provided in the EVA AIR Check-in Completion Notice
- Using the mobile app or online
- Self-service kiosks at the airport
- At the airport’s check-in counter
Conditions for automated check-in
- The flight must be operated by EVA Air or UNI Air.
- When you return home, a passport reader scans your travel documents.
- Seats are reserved for you.
- I have confirmed your booking.
- An electronic ticket is in your hand.
- No special service has been requested.
Note
If your bags are not dropped off within one hour, your seat will be assigned to someone else. Check-in counter hours vary by airport, so always find out in advance.
Check-in online or via a mobile device
A ticketed passenger with a confirmed booking can check in online or by mobile device 48 hours up to 60 minutes before departure. International flights operated by EVA Air and UNI Air, except charters and code-share flights, are eligible for online/mobile check-in.
The following passengers cannot check in online or via mobile:
- The original electronic ticket does not match the flight schedule.
- Individuals whose tickets are subject to fare differences or taxes.
- Infants travel.
- Unaccompanied children under 12.
- Non-electronic ticket holders.
- Those who require assistance (such as those with medical conditions).
- Group travel (10 or more passengers in one booking).

- Find the airport kiosk machine check-in area
- Start the check-in process by touching the kiosk screen
- After entering your last name, enter the booking confirmation number.
- Check your flight details and confirm your check-in
- Take a printout of your boarding pass

Here are the steps for using Eva Air’s ticket counter check-in service:
- Find the EVA Air ticket counter at the airport.
- Present your Eva booking confirmation.
- Bookings are verified by the agent
- Confirm your check-in request
- The agent will issue your boarding pass.

Before boarding an Eva flight, passengers must present both their boarding pass and an identity card issued by a government agency.
At an airport kiosk, you can get a boarding pass
- Locate the kiosk machine in the check-in area
- Enter your last name and booking confirmation number.
- Choose your Eva flight from the list
- Please confirm your details
- The Eva boarding pass can be printed or downloaded
At the airline check-in counter, you can get your boarding pass
- Travel to the airport
- Check-in at the Eva Air counter
- Show your ticket to the counter agent
- Bookings and check-ins will be verified by an agent
- You can now print boarding passes
