What is the Cebu Pacific check-in procedure?
Passengers can check in before or after arriving at the airport when traveling on a Cebu Pacific flight:
- Web/Mobile Check-in.
- Self-Check-in kiosks.
Can I check in at Cebu Pacific counters until what time?
The check-in counters for domestic flights open 120 minutes before flight departure, while the check-in counters for international flights open three hours before departure. For flights from Dubai and Shanghai, check-in deadlines are 45 minutes before departure (1 hour before departure for flights from Dubai, and 50 minutes before departure for flights from Shanghai).
In addition to checking your visa and travel documents at check-in, you must pay fees for checked baggage and excess baggage. Upon failure to arrive at the check-in counters before Cebu Pacific Air may refuse to check in a passenger and cancel the passenger’s confirmed reservation for release to waitlisted passengers.
Check-in via web/mobile
Web/Mobile Check-in allows passengers to check in for a flight 72 hours to 1 hour before departure for domestic flights and 4 hours for international flights.
Mobile check-in is not available for US flights.
Passengers whose bookings have been confirmed can use the Web/Mobile Check-in service except:
- Minors who are unaccompanied.
- Infants are traveling with their parents.
- Those with reduced mobility or requiring special assistance.
Checking in through the Cebu Pacific website allows you to add on items, such as prepaid baggage, meals, seats, etc. Checking in via the Cebu Pacific app does not allow you to add-on items.
In the Web/Mobile Check-in process, passengers must print/save their boarding pass and carefully read the notes printed on it. There may be some international destinations that only receive a boarding reminder. Once you’ve checked in, you cannot change or cancel your flight.
The following airports accept web and mobile boarding passes:
- For domestic flights – all Philippine airports.
• For international flights – Bangkok, Denpasar, Dubai, Fukuoka, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Kota Kinabalu, Nagoya, Osaka-Kansai, Singapore, Sydney, Taipei, Tokyo-Narita.
Web/Mobile Check-in assigns seats automatically, but you can change and choose your seat for a fee. Emergency exit row seats will be displayed so you can easily identify them. Cebu Pacific reserves the right to reseat passengers already seated in emergency exit seats if they do not meet the requirements to comply with safety regulations.
Airport Terminal Procedures
For visa and travel document checks, you must visit the Check-in Counter at the airport if you are traveling internationally. You must be at the Web Check-in Counter 45 minutes before the scheduled flight departure or at the time indicated by the airline to place your baggage tag if you have checked baggage.
A valid photo ID and the Web/Mobile Check-in Boarding Pass are required for security clearance and boarding. For this purpose, passports, school IDs, SSS cards, company IDs, driver’s licenses, and tax identification numbers (TINs) are acceptable. Passengers’ names in valid photo IDs should match those entered in the booking information.
On domestic flights without checked baggage, passengers can proceed to the boarding gate.
If a passenger fails to show up at the dedicated Web Check-in counter or at the boarding gate within the prescribed period, the Airline will proceed with the flight without assuming any liability. Passengers will not be able to apply for a Travel Fund or a refund in that case.
Self-check-in kiosks at Cebu Pacific
You can get your boarding pass easily at the nearest Cebu Pacific self-check-in kiosk.
Notes regarding Cebu Pacific’s check-in kiosks
- Check-in for Cebu Pacific flights is available eight hours before departure.
- Cebu Pacific kiosks require your booking reference number to check-in.
- Before the airport closes, go to the Bag Drop counter to check in your bags.
- Verify your travel documents before flying internationally.
- There is no fee for changing your airplane seat, but it is automatically assigned.
- Select airports offer it on the low side.
This option allows you to check-in
- On the kiosk’s touch-screen monitor, enter your 6-digit booking reference number.
- Afterward, the computer will ask, “Who is checking in for your flight?
- Check in your name and those with you. You may also check in everyone in your group with one tap by selecting “I want to check in all guests”.
- Tap on continue.
- As soon as the computer prints your boarding pass, wait for it to appear.
In the following cases, self-check-in is not permitted
- Passengers requiring special assistance or reduced mobility.
- Infants traveling with passengers.
- Minors traveling alone under the age of 15 (unaccompanied minors)
- Pregnant women.
Boarding
During airport security checks and at the boarding gate, customers must present their valid travel documents, including identification cards, passports, visas, and boarding passes (in the case of web check-in).
At least 30 minutes before departure, passengers must be at the boarding gate.
Passengers traveling with infants or children, unaccompanied minors, expectant mothers, passengers with disabilities or reduced mobility, passengers with medical conditions, and other special needs receive priority boarding on Cebu Pacific Air.
