As with Web Check-In, kiosk Check-In allows you to change your seat assignment, purchase First Class upgrades, and print a travel receipt as well. The moment your boarding pass is printed, you can proceed straight to the gate if you only have carry-on luggage with you.

Most airports provide self-tag kiosks, which can be used to print bag tags yourself and drop your bags off at the Bag Drop.

Alaska Airlines check-in at the Airport Desk/Counter

Whether you have a paper ticket or just need some extra help with the check-in process on the day of departure, Customer Service Agents are always available to assist you at the counter. Checked baggage can only be accepted four hours before your departure time.

When you show your passport and other travel documents at the airport’s check-in counter, you can check-in.

  • If you like, you can check your luggage.
  • A seat will be assigned to you
  • “Your boarding pass will be given to you.”

The boarding process

Alaska Airlines requires all passengers to be present at the boarding gate at least 30 minutes before departure. Not meeting this requirement may result in the cancellation of reserved seats and/or the entire reservation.

The boarding pass needs to be printed. Do I need to do that?

If you save and download your mobile boarding pass on your smartphone, then you don’t need to print it. If your flight departs from an airport that doesn’t accept mobile boarding passes, you will have to get a paper boarding pass at the airport.
